An information session for Haywood County farmers interested in pursuing grant funding from the WNC AgOptions program will be held on Monday, September 19th from 4:00-5:30 at the Haywood County Extension Office located at 589 Raccoon Road, Waynesville.

Growers and producers are eligible to apply for either $4,000 or $8,000 grants this year.  There is a total of $223,000 available this year for our region!

Staff from WNC AgOptions will be on hand to explain the grant process, eligible projects, and applications.  Extension staff will be present as well --- in order to apply for an AgOptions grant, you must have a cooperating extension agent.

You must be operating in one of the 22 counties in WNC: Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Clay, Cherokee, Cleveland, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, and Yancey.

Intent to apply deadline is: October 14th, 2022

Applications are due by: November 18th, 2022
