Dr. Andrew Weaver, Small Ruminant Extension Specialist will be hosting a lambing and kidding school this fall at the Upper Mountain Research Station in Laurel Springs, NC. The school will take place September 14th from 9am - 5pm. Space is limited to 25 participants to ensure hands-on learning opportunities. Lunch will be provided and all attendees will receive a lambing/kidding resource notebook. Register online via Eventbrite!

Morning Session
- 8:30-9:00 am: Welcome
- 9 am: Equipment, Infrastructure, and Records
- 10 am: Nutrition pre- and post-lambing/kidding
- 11 am: Disease Prevention
- 12 pm: Lunch (Provided)
Afternoon Session
- 1 pm: Delivery and Dystocia
- 2 pm: Processing
- 3 pm: Dealing with Orphans
- 4 pm: Troubleshooting Lambing and Kidding Season
- 5 pm: Evaluations
Note: Only sheep will be used for this school although all concepts will be relevant to goats.
