Maggie Valley Community Garden is hosting classes at the First Baptist Church in Maggie Valley (3634 Soco Road, Maggie Valley, NC 28751).  NC State Extension Master Gardener volunteers, as guest speakers, will present a lesson lasting approx. 1 hour. This will be followed by outdoor demonstrations approx. 30 minutes at the Maggie Valley Community Garden.  Please note: The community garden is a short walk from the parking lot on uneven grassy terrain.

Square foot gardening is a simple, versatile system that takes less space, less work and less water; is great for patios and decks; and is perfect for senior gardeners. You get a great yield from a small space! Presented by Hughes Roberts, an Extension Master Gardener volunteer and Certified SquareFootGardening Instructor. After the presentation, participants will see demonstrations at the Maggie Valley Community Garden, adjacent to the church.
