The Western Regional Youth Cattle Handling Contest will take place at the Mountain Research Station in Waynesville on March 26th starting at 9:30 a.m.
Teams for the contest consist of three members who are all bonafide North Carolina 4-H or FFA members who are at least 14 years of age by September 30, 2023 and must not have had their 19th birthday before January 1, 2024.
The contest will consist of:- Pre inspection of working equipment
- Handling cattle safely and effectively
- Processing treatment plan
- BQA Test
- Skillathon - 4 Stations
