What is Vacationer Supported Agriculture?

Vacationer Supported Agriculture (or VSA) allows for vacationers to Haywood County to purchase a bag of local produce that they will pick up at centralized locations in Maggie Valley and Waynesville before heading to their rentals for the week/weekend!

What can my guests expect from this service?

Vacationers will receive the freshest possible provisions from farms right by their vacation spot. Each week the contents of provision bags will vary depending on what is freshest for the harvest that week. Vacationers receive an email on Wednesday evening with pickup information and the expected contents of the bags. All bags will have 10+ pounds of the largest possible variety of freshly harvested fruits and vegetables!

What farms in Haywood County are involved?

Provisions for Haywood county are supplied by Mighty Gnome Market Garden and Outlaw Acres Farm. These family-owned farms offer organic and ethically grown produce from Mighty Gnome Market Garden, as well as cage-free eggs, and some yummy produce too, from Outlaw Acres Farm.

How can I get involved?
