4-H Presentations
4-H Presentations are a huge part of North Carolina 4-H. It is one of the best ways to help youth learn public speaking skills. It focuses on youth teaching others what they know about a topic that they are passionate about!Benefits of 4-H Presentations:
-Increased knowledge of public speaking skills-Increased self confidence
-Increase of knowledge in a given area
-Helps with communication skills, presentation skills, college/post secondary goals, career and job skillsWhat is a 4-H Presentation?
A presentation is a 5-12 minute long demonstration (showing how to do something) or illustrated (talking about a topic of interest using props) talk. There are over 30 categories that you may choose to compete in. 4-H Presentations are open to registered 4-H members ages 8-18. Youth aged 5-7 (as of January 1, 2024) are allowed to participate and give a presentation, but will not be part of the competition).Examples of 4-H Presentations
2024 Competition Details
Category must also be determined. Only two youth per age group (8-10, 11-13, 14-18) and category can participate at the district competition.If you are the third person in an age group and category we will help you find another category so you can participate.
