Haywood County Center, 589 Raccoon Road, Waynesville, NC


Come learn about grafting, shearing, ground cover management, and pest management! Presentations from Jamie Bookwalter (Extension Specialist), Will Kolhway (Extension Specialist), and Jerry Moody (Avery County Director).


Pesticide Credits will be available. (3 credits of L, N, O, D, X)

This hands on workshop will cover the basics of produce food safety for small and medium scale farms.

Specialty Crop Production Workshop: Soil Restoration


Thursday, March 6, 20258:30 am - 2:00 pm

Haywood County Center, 589 Raccoon Road, Waynesville, NC


This workshop will focus on soil health and will be beneficial for those impacted by the storm and for those wanting to improve their overall soil health in the future. The workshop will feature presentations on soil remediation after the storm, whole farm and crop insurance , cover crops, and biochar.


 Cost is $10. Pre-registration is required. Workshop Registration!
