Mark your calendar for the Garden Extravaganza to be held Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Extension Office located at 589 Racoon Road in Waynesville, NC.
This annual event is hosted by the NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ (EMG)volunteers of Haywood County. It’s our biggest event of the year and proceedsfrom the sale support the local EMG program. The Garden Extravaganza featuresa Pass-Along Plant Sale, Second-Hand Treasures and Garden Art.
The Pass-Along Plant Sale features a wide variety of unique perennials, nativeplants, houseplants, vegetables, shrubs and more. The plants are produced byour local EMG volunteers who have divided perennials and root cuttings fromtheir gardens and started plants from seed for you to enjoy in your garden. Therewill be hundreds of plants available at reasonable prices.
The Garden Art Sale includes hand-crafted garden art made by EMG volunteerssuch as wind chimes, decorated pots, hand-painted light-up wine bottles, wall art,candles, bird feeders and more.
