Collapse ▲The 2024 WNC Beef Commission overnight tour will be on August 29-31, 2024. We will leave around 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29th and will travel to middle Tennessee where we will stay overnight and start farm tours early morning on Friday, August 30th. We will work our way back to East Tennessee and end our trip back in North Carolina on Saturday night.
Please fill out the interest form so that we can see how many people would like to attend in order for us to plan accordingly to reserve hotel rooms and a bus!
**NOTE** Please be mindful that an overnight trip will cost more than our day trip tours we have done the last few years. Be prepared for hotel cost, meals, and group transportation cost. We are in the process of calculating a final cost of the trip and will let you know as soon as we have a finalized head count of who will be in attendance.
In order to hold your spot on the trip, please send a deposit to WNC Communities at 594 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC 28806 of $100 (per person) by JULY 16TH, 2024. You may also drop payment off at the Haywood County or Buncombe County Extension Offices.
Tour stops and topics will include (and are subject to change) – Middle Tennessee Research & Education Center, Tennessee Beef Heifer Development Program, Sweetwater Valley Farm, Busch Brothers Bean Plant, Grace Meadows Farm, Bentons Bacon & Country Store, Jack Daniels Distillery and local backgrounding farm and MORE!
