NC Cooperative Extension in Haywood County is collaborating with the NC Department of Agriculture to offer Market Scale Calibration on Wednesday, February 23, 2022
Representatives from NCDA will be on site to calibrate and certify that scales meet requirements for selling weighted produce and other goods. To be certified a scale must be a Class III Scale / Legal for trade.
Growers who would like to have their market scales calibrated and certified by NCDA can drop them off at the Haywood County Extension Center (589 Raccoon Rd., Waynesville, NC. 28786) on Monday and Tuesday February 21 and 22 between 8am-5pm and on Wednesday, February 23rd by 10:00am.
Scales will be available for pickup after 11am on February23rd.
